After blogging about my needle felting presents last week, this week I have been playing with my other Christmas present - the Big Shot. Again, I am an absolute beginner in using this, but having read
Caroline's and
Kerri's posts and my fingers aching from individually cutting out little flowers I took the plunge! So this week I have been making
|
flower brooches |
I am also making bigger flowers to use on felt bags and needle books
and I have started designing and making felt crowns - ready for the Jubilee and all the little princesses out there! There will also be a boy's version when my new die arrives all the way from America!

Don't I look lovely! |

Pink flower crown |
A short post as I am offer to wander through the hundreds of cutting dies listed on ebay!
Happy
Handmade Monday everyone - why not go and visit some more brilliant blogs?

Love those flower brooches with button centres, and the crowns are a lovely idea!
The brooches are lovely, and planning for the jubilee is super-organised.
How fun! I guess a Big Shot is something like my Cricut (but it cuts paper). I spend endless hours cutting things! :) I love your felt flowers, those look great. :)
Loving the crowns - think I may need to indulge for my little ones - I'd need a pink for my 7 yr old and the boys option for my 3yr old son. Let me know when you're ready for orders!! Brooches look beautiful! Best wishes Linda x
I would love a big shot but have spent too much on equipment of late. Love the flowers
A total prince amongst bears... and so in touch with his feminine side :)
It has cheered me up and made me smile on a particularly grotty night. Just love him.
The flower brooches are really lovely. Lots of gorgeous colours. I think your felt crowns are gorgeous too - such a great idea. Hope you have a good week.
The brooches are sweet and those crowns are very girly and pretty, I want one! I look forward to seeing the boys one soon. x
I can definitely recommend the big shot lol I love mine and i'm sure you will too! I love your flowers, they are lovely x
I've never used a big shot, it looks like fun and has lots of uses, I love the crowns.
I finally got my sewing machine out this week and finally decided what to make with the lovely fabric you sent me and I've 'almost' got my blog post organised re the Liebster award, did I post a thank you for that? No I don't think I did, how remiss of me, especially after one of your previous posts about 'thank you' notes. So I thank you now and will soon have my post sorted.
Take care

Hi Jo, so pleased you're having fun with your Big Shot might have to nick the crown idea from you and the brooches are lovely. Thanks for your comment I knew you would know where I was coming from. Is there such a thing as a part time teacher?!!! :)
Wow, lovely big shot items. I've been having so much fun with mine, can't wait to get back to it but had a crazy busy time at the mo. Will also post to thank about my Liebster blog award thank you.
