Use a pure wool yarn, I used Rico's Filz yarn from my local shop.

| Knit a rectangle using garter or plain knitting. I used 8mm needles. |

| Wash in your machine on a very hot wash - it will shrink a little bit. Don't leave any long ends of yarn. Stretch into shape and dry flat. |

| Cut out simple triangle shapes for the tree and squares for base. Your knitting won't unravel or fray. |

| Sew the base to the tree and add decorations. |
