Recently I have been reading the story 'Alice in Wonderland'. Way back in January I received my first mystery yarn box from 'Rosie's Moments over on Etsy, based on the story, and so I decided to read it again.

It has inspired all sorts of white rabbits for Pickle-Lily, from needle books to bags to bunting!

This week seems to be all about Work in Progress, with lots of projects on the go and as usual I think I've got rather carried away with what I've started! I am definitely not one of those people who start a project and work on it methodically to the end. I've got mini bunting waiting for the blue thread on the sewing machine ..

There's a bunny waiting to be made up using Rowan pure wool, so lovely to knit with and snuggle ...
And finally one thing I finished yesterday afternoon, a new owl design! I love mixing all the colours together for his tummy and this will make each one even more unique, but the problem is I feel like casting a new one on now in lots of other colours!!!

And a big pile of big bunting to sort out too!

Mystery Knit Along

A couple of years ago I took part in a mystery knitalong on Ravelry to knit a mystery toy. Well, to be accurate I started it, I didn't really get along with knitting in the round with aran yarn, so I gave up when it got too difficult.

Then I saw in my side bar that Fuzzy Mittens was running one this year. I love Fuzzy Mitten patterns. I knit her bunnies. So cute in their little hoodies.

I've also knitted a little teddy bear from one of her patterns - more are due to arrive soon!

So I have paid a very reasonable fee for the pattern - £1.70 and I eagerly sat and knitted the first part on Friday evening, whilst I waited for Pickle-Lily's leotard to finish in the washing machine, so I could hang it up to dry ready for Saturday morning. A new part of the pattern will be published every Friday for six weeks in total, and I'm really looking forward to knitting it.

(I made them using beautifully soft merino yarn from a pattern from Fuzzy Mittens - there's a link on my side bar. I just added my own touches with the daisy and tassel.)

.... And going to the dentist! So I'm afraid not much to blog about at the moment.

Pickle-Lily is fast asleep upstairs with a cold and headache and missed the little snow we had, she will be disappointed and I'm off to visit all the other lovely blogs over at Wendy's for Handmade Monday.
