My new tea pot |
Pickle-Lily and I have been enjoying The Great British Bake-off over the past two weeks and have already decide on who should stay and who should go. I usually watch it with a lovely cup of tea from my new funky tea pot that I found in a local charity shop and a slice of something ...
Banana Bread |
One of our family favourites is banana bread or cake. This is great at using up any over-ripe bananas if you have them and very easy to bake. Whenever I make this, it is usually eaten warm from the oven spread with butter, but I do believe it is just as good cold (it never really lasts that long!). The recipe is on the Bakes ... page.
I've just remembered I need to send you all to Wendy's Handmade Monday page to read all the other blogs!

That looks really nice! I've made something similar with (believe it or not) courgettes. I've had a glut of them in the garden this year, so searched online for recipes after getting fed up of them in stir-fries and the like. I adapted it to gluten free and it's fab. Love your teapot, btw! x
I love GBBO - makes me want cake though which isn't that great when you're meant to be on a diet. And Zucchini bread as Wendy mentions is lush as well as banana bread.
Oh, my favourite - banana bread. Looks absolutely delicious and what an ab fab teapot. Got a cosy?
Banana bread is one of the best and so good to use those just over ripe bananas
Your banana bread looks yummy, I'm off to check out your recipe. I love the teapot, even though I don't drink tea, what a great find.
I love British bake off too. Unfortunately I am not very good with baking. Your Banana cake looks very yummy.

Oh my gosh, what a perfect post, tea and banana bread - I could have that right now! I ordered tea and banana bread in starbucks the other day - it's not the same when it's not home made! Anna x
p.s I'm a new follower x
I love your teapot, it is so retro, really takes me back to the early 60s... I love it and I don't drink tea. Mind you I could probably manage a slice of banana bread :)
Never tried banana cake!!! and as I have some over ripe bananas I think I might just remedy that... baking here I come.
